But the news is great! Little Martha has been adopted by a wonderful family in Lewiston ME! She now has a family to call her own and even a mini schnauzer brother named Spaulding!

Martha continues to grow and develop into a great dog, she is learning some basic voice commands and has really settled in to our home. It is hard to believe she is the same dog who was so timid and not willing to come out of her crate. Her best tricks now are walking on her hind legs and playing chase.
ReplyDeleteSadly, she has lost her brother, Spaulding, to cancer. A great loss for us all, Spaulding was a trooper to the end, but due to severe anemia he had virtually no energy and even lost his desire to eat carrots. That is when I knew we were at the end, he lived for carrots.
After much contemplation and soul searching we are on the verge of adopting another Mini Schnauzer, Isaac, a three year old boy who lost his family due to the recession. A sad story in itself, but as we have been hearing all too common during these tough economic times. The adoption date is set for November 20th and we need to bring Martha for the interview, we know she will impress Isaac's foster mom. Thank you!
